A celebration of softness, the FINN easy chair is the result of an extensive development process to create a versatile armchair that is both unique and adaptable in an array of environments. FINN has a voluptuous form and strong demeanour - it’s an inviting chair that exudes presence, without dominating a space.
The base design is constructed from oval tubing, which was purposefully chosen as a shape that would be striking, but complementary to the soft curves of the shell. The placement of piping and seams is tailored to enhance its organic form.
Embracing the theme of ecology, SBW uses an environmentally sustainable recycled frame with high-resilience, commercial grade fire retardant foam seat and back. Fully upholstered in a selection of fabric or leather, the Finn chair can radically change its appearance, from a single colour to an extremely bright or subtly elegant style.
Designed to complement its chair, the FINN coffee table is a striking addition to the SBW collection. With intricate weld details at the legs junction point this table exudes a sculptural elegance. Available as standard all in powder coated metal and suitable for outdoor use, it holds a remarkable silhouette.
Something Beginning With was founded in 2011 by Industrial Designer Lisa Vincitorio and Visual Artist Laelie Berzon, who share a passion for timeless designs and a commitment to local manufacturing. SBW pride themselves in offering a range of products that is constantly evolving. Attention to detail and consistent, dedicated and honest customer service are core to SBW’s philosophy.
To be part of the SBW family, a product needs to be timeless, simple and adaptable for the market. It must offer clients the ability to choose their preferred colour, finish and dimensions along with a leather or fabric of their liking for all upholstered products, all within a 4-6 week lead time.
